Guidelines by Type
Submission guidelines for this literary magazine vary by type of work. Please carefully read the guidelines for the respective category before submitting your work:

At the bottom of each 'guidelines' page, there is a hyperlinked statement, "I have read these guidelines and agree to abide by them." In order to submit your work, click that link. For text-based submissions, like essays, poetry, or comedy, a submissions form page appears. Fill out that form and submit it to send your work for consideration. For the Art and Digifilm categories, the link just goes to a pre-addressed blank email for you to send your work. Note that digital film entries are likely to be too large to send in as an email attachment, so please send an email with a description of the film and its size, and, if interested, I will contact you to make arrangements for uploading the file.

CAPTCHA Test
At the bottom of each submission form there is a CAPTCHA ("Completely Automated Public Turing Test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart"). A generated image displays with letters and numbers in it. All you have to do is type the letters and/or numbers that you see in the field next to the image. The purpose of this test is to ensure that automated form-submitting SPAM-bots cannot flood the moocat inbox with useless email. That is, to ensure that only humans submit work to moocat.net. The moocat does not yet recognize the creative rights of androids.
