Length and Quality
As of fall 2006, moocat.net is hosting short digital films. Films can be from 10 seconds to 10 minutes long, but the moocat suggests you shoot for somewhere between those extremes. I can accept film in the followig formats: QuickTime (.AVI, .MOV), Wave files (.WAV), Windows Media Files (.WMV), Flash (.SWF), or Real Media (.RM, .RAM). For logistical and bandwidth reasons, please limit the size of your film file to 40MB or less.

I'm interested in presenting films on many themes, but am especially interested in short films that show your local neighborhood. Again, the goal is to take the reader on a pleasant and unusual little mind-ride. I'm not interested in (nor would be allowed to post) pornographic material. Nor am I interested in anything vituperative, mean-spirited, or rapturously religious. The moocat is a gentle cat.

In keeping with the moocat theme of "Gentle Moos Form Round the World," I am interested in films from all over the planet, especially from out-of-the-way places that are likely to be less traveled by most Internet users.

Original works only. I'm willing to consider simultaneous submissions, but please let me know about that in your submission email.

Copyright Considerations
Contributors retain copyright over their works after publication. The only form of payment I can offer is the knowledge that your work is being seen by a limited number of anonymous Internet users.

Other Stuff
I will only post material sent from contributors with a working e-mail address. If you have a compelling reason to not post a link to your e-mail address, please let me know, and I'll consider it. Submission to moocat.net is tantamount to permission to web-publish your material as submitted and to link to your email address. I will post the address using special JavaScript that attempts to prevent spam-spiders from capturing your email address.

I'll try to notify all submitters if their work is rejected (at least, until the incoming stream gets too torrential). I'll certainly notify contributors if I'd like to use their work, and will provide them with a cyber-"blueline" for a quick sanity-check before final publication.
